R.E.A.C.H.
Created on Wednesday, 24 August 2011 12:49
Managers and Coaches,
The date for our first R.E.A.C.H uniform and equipment donation for this new 2011-2012 soccer year is:
September 4, Sunday 9am-12noon, Rush Office
September 5, Monday (Labor Day) 2-5pm, Waipio Soccer Park
As mentioned in the Uniform and R.E.A.C.H meeting early this summer, this year's Uniform Rebate is for the Competitive Girls teams. If there are any more boys players or teams that purchased a uniform this past year, there may be a chance to still obtain the rebate but the uniforms need to be turned in during this upcoming drop-off dates. For each child who turns a full uniform set (2 jerseys and a pair of shorts) in good condition will be eligible to receive a $20 rebate from their purchase of a new uniform. Please read and forward the Uniform Collection Guidelines to the parents on your teams for further information. Each team donating soccer uniforms on the dates above need to have a Uniform Tally Sheet completed with the drop-off.
Also, many of us have an abundance of extra soccer equipment – balls, shoes, bags, jerseys, shorts, etc. If your members have any extra gear that is in good shape, please ask them to consider donating it to a very worthy cause. I have asked each team manager to email me with your contact information and/or a representative from your team that will assist in collecting and completing the attached REACH form for you team. For these teams, I will provide support in completing the proper paperwork so that these rebates can be processed.
The purpose of REACH (Rush Equipment Assisting Children) is to collect gently used soccer gear and ship it to communities in need all around the world. From tsunami victims and Russian orphans, to the children of war-torn Iraq or HIV-affected South Africa, all benefit from the generous donations of Rush soccer members. With your help, the Hawaii Rush can contribute and be a part of a program that touches the lives of many children and families far beyond all borders through soccer.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Your contributions will positively impact our newly formed Rush clubs oversees and other communities in need.
